Tasha Sosa, DNP, APRN, FNP‑C, knew from an early age that she was meant to care for others. She recalls being inspired by her father’s compassionate care team when he became ill. And she developed a specific interest in women’s health when her mother was pregnant with her sister.

“That’s when I knew I wanted to do something with pregnancy and babies,” said Sosa, whose passion for OB/GYN care amplified after witnessing her first delivery in nursing school at Nebraska Methodist College.

Now a nurse practitioner at Methodist Physicians Clinic Women’s Center – located inside the Methodist Women’s Hospital Medical Office Building – Sosa believes deeply in the power of connection with her patients.

“Allowing them to speak, listening to them wholeheartedly without rushing them and giving them space to be vulnerable – that’s how you build the kind of relationship that can truly impact care,” she said.  

Outside of work, Sosa enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and embracing new life experiences.
