Sterling Blackham, DO, a pediatrician at Methodist Physicians Clinic, enjoys working together with parents to have lasting impacts on the patients he cares for.

“I don’t think much change can happen within pediatric care unless families are really involved,” he said.

With children of his own, Dr. Blackham wants patients and their families to know that he’ll provide the same care he’d expect his children to receive.

“I promise to treat all my patients with respect, kindness and honesty,” he said. “If I’m unsure of a diagnosis or unable to answer a question or concern, I’m committed to spending the necessary time to research and find the answers.”

Dr. Blackham is also fluent in Spanish and enjoys caring for a diverse patient population.  

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Blackham likes playing board games, swimming and shopping for fun outfits at Goodwill with his wife and children — his “biggest joys in life.” He’s also a self-proclaimed sports enthusiast and plays recreational slow-pitch softball as time permits. But his favorite outdoor activity is snowboarding in his home state of Utah.
