Stephanie Roberts, NP, says she'll always have the "heart of a nurse."
"My primary concern is to care for an individual holistically," said Roberts, who specializes in gerontology and worked as a bedside nurse for over 10 years. "I'm caring not only for their body but also their mind and spirit." Now a nurse practitioner with the Methodist Physicians Clinic transitional care program, Roberts sees patients and families who may need assistance with moving to a long-term care facility or with transitions from home to the hospital or the hospital to rehabilitation.
"I want to help patients and families find the right balance between quality of life and appropriate medical interventions," she said. "I enjoy building relationships with patients and working with them to live their best life.
Outside of work, Roberts loves to spend time with her family. They enjoy hiking, water sports, traveling the world and learning about different cultures.
