Whether it's helping patients navigate menopause or addressing their unique gynecological needs, Stephanie Harris, MD, is dedicated to providing specialized and inclusive care.
“Women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community often have a more difficult time feeling heard or validated in their health care journeys,” said Dr. Harris, who specializes in gynecology and menopause medicine at Methodist Physicians Clinic. “I’m committed to lending a listening ear while making my patients feel safe, respected and truly cared for.”
Dr. Harris credits her mother, a nurse, as well as her high school biology and anatomy classes for inspiring her to pursue medicine as a career. The most rewarding aspect of her day-to-day work, she said, is being able to build lasting and meaningful relationships with each of her patients.
“I really try to get to know them as a person,” she said. “What their family life is like, what their work life is like, because all of that plays into what our treatment plan is going to be and what's going to work best for them.”
Dr. Harris is proud to work for a health system dedicated to women's health, and she values Methodist’s mission of improving the health of all our communities.
