Growing up, Dr. Ronald Silvius knew his interest in science and desire to help people would one day lead him down the path of becoming a physician. None of his relatives were in the medical field, so he wanted to be the first person to be able to care for his family. With his lifelong mission in mind, Dr. Silvius went on to complete medical school and his family medicine residency at Des Moines University's College of Osteopathic Medicine. Today, he is a family medicine doctor at Methodist Physicians Clinic in Glenwood.

Dr. Silvius is dedicated to promoting the well-being of his patients. As a part of his mission to provide exceptional care, he strives to develop strong relationships with each person. There is nothing more gratifying to him than listening to a patient's questions and concerns and being able to guide them on the path to good health.
In his free time, Dr. Silvius enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys being in the great outdoors, participating in activities such as hunting, fishing, swimming and biking.

I have seen Dr Silvius for number of years for a multitude of problems. He always suggests the best option whether it be medicine or a rereferral to another specialist. My life has been vastly improved thanks to the care and concern Dr Silvius gives me with each visit. Dr Silvius is a difference maker and is one who make you want to come in for care. I would want no other doctor than Dr Silvius and I hope others see it the same way.
