Reagan Huber, PA-C, became interested in medicine at a young age when her father received a kidney transplant.

“That got me interested right away because I knew that doctors had saved my dad’s life,” she said.

Huber, a physician assistant (PA) specializing in general surgery at Methodist Physicians Clinic, enjoys meeting people from a variety of backgrounds and forming connections with patients and their families.

“I’m truly passionate about caring for people and helping them understand their diagnosis,” she said. “It’s so rewarding to see patients get better and know that I may have played a small role in their journey.”

Huber worked as a CNA at Methodist before completing her education and training to become a PA. She loves learning and is fascinated by all areas of medicine. But she chose her specialty for a couple of reasons.

“I loved my surgery rotation in PA school because of the complexity and the way that the right surgery can make such a difference for a patient,” she said.

As much as she enjoys helping patients, Huber believes that patients also help her.

“There are so many patients who have made a difference in my life and have made me a better provider,” she said. “I am so thankful for each of these moments!”

Outside of work, Huber and her husband love spoiling their dogs. She also enjoys all things outdoors, cooking and reading.
