Rachel M. Swim, MD

Dr. Rachel Swim has always been a compassionate and caring person. As far back as she can remember, her desire to help others has continuously been a guiding force in her life. Particularly, she loved animals as a little girl and hoped to one day look after them as a veterinarian. As time went on, however, she became increasingly concerned with the health and well-being of people around her. With the goal of having a larger role in their healing, Dr. Swim decided to follow the medical track in order to become a physician.

Intent on making her goal a reality, Dr. Swim went on to attend medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She later completed her residency training at the University of Missouri, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. Today, she is an OB-GYN at Methodist Physicians Clinic.

Even today, Dr. Swim is dedicated to promoting the well-being of others. As a physician, it's her duty to make her patients as comfortable with the medical process as possible. She believes that comfort accompanies trust, which in turn allows her to connect with and treat people as a whole. Placing importance on addressing all aspects of health, Dr. Swim strives to tailor care to each person and making each course of action unique to them. Each patient and moment is special to her, and there isn't a day when she does not stop to think, "Wow, this is why I do this."
