Paul D. Kolkman, MD

Growing up, Dr. Paul Kolkman never imagined he would become a doctor. He initially attended college with the intention of being in golf course management. However, after taking his first anatomy and physiology course, he fell in love with science and the human body. That summer, he spent his time working in a hospital and interacting with radiology patients. He enjoyed this experience so much that it solidified his decision to become a physician.

With his newfound passion, Dr. Kolkman attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. During his studies, he was amazed at the impact surgery had on people. Being the type of person that likes to fix things with his hands, he decided to specialize in general surgery. He completed his residency training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Today, he is a general surgeon at Methodist Physicians Clinic.

Dr. Kolkman loves being around people. He loves interacting with everyone he meets  from office staff to the patients he diligently treats. He is also a firm believer in teamwork, and believes exceptional care can be achieved when doctors and patients form a partnership and work together toward a common goal.
