Olivia Gifford, APRN, FNP-C, has had a passion for helping others for as long as she can remember, which led her to pursue a career in health care.
As an internal medicine nurse practitioner with Methodist Physicians Clinic, Gifford enjoys learning from a complex patient population.
"Each day looks different than the previous day," she said. "And I have the opportunity to meet many members of my community from all walks of life. I learn just as much from my patients as they learn from me."
Gifford's favorite part of internal medicine is researching and learning about the variety of conditions she sees.
She believes that communication and trust are essential to the patient-provider relationship.
"I want my patients to know that I will always believe in them and advocate for them," Gifford said. "I care about them as a person and will treat them in a holistic manner."
Outside of work, Gifford enjoys spending time with her family and their French bulldog. They love spending time at their family lake house during the summer and cheering for Nebraska football during the fall.

Olivia was so wonderful, a breath of fresh air in the medical field. She actually listened to my health concerns and struggles I have been having.
