Growing up, Dr. Schmiesing always had an interest in medicine. That interest, however, sparked into a passion during college. During that time, some of his closest friends were residents at Creighton University Medical Center. The stories of their experiences in the medical field left Dr. Schmiesing inspired to pursue his own medical career.
With support from his family and friends, Dr. Schmiesing went on to attend medical school at Creighton University's School of Medicine. During his studies, he developed a desire to help a wide range of patients. Not wanting to limit himself to one area of health care, he chose to specialize in family medicine. He later completed his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Today, he is a family medicine doctor at Methodist Physicians Clinic.
Dr. Schmiesing is dedicated to providing patients with exceptional care. He values the importance of taking the time to learn about them, believing a person's family history is an excellent indicator of future health issues and treatments. When not in a professional setting, he loves just catching up with patients about what is new in their lives.
In his free time, Dr. Schmiesing enjoys spending time with his family. He also loves being in the great outdoors, occasionally fishing on his days off.
