Dr. Matthew Gibson attributes his passion for medicine to his love of learning. As a young boy, he enjoyed being able to pick up a topic, learn as much as he could about it and move on to the next. As he became older, he wanted a career in which he would be able to constantly gain new knowledge. The obvious choice for him was medicine ñ a field that was ever changing and would expose him to new and exciting things every single day.
Dr. Gibson went on to complete medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He later completed his residency training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, specializing in pediatrics. Today, he is a pediatrician at Methodist Physicians Clinic.
One of Dr. Gibson's greatest joys in life is being a father. Recognizing that parenting can be challenging at times, he chose pediatrics in order to share his knowledge with parents and kids. He cares deeply for each of his patients, and enjoys watching them grow into young adults with unique personalities.
In his free time, Dr. Gibson enjoys being active with his family, often finding time play with the dog and bike together. He also enjoys keeping his mind sharp, still trying to learn as much as he can through reading and writing.
