For Martha Lindhorst, APRN-NP, FNP, it's hard to choose just one reason why she loves her job as a family nurse practitioner. She's drawn to the variety of patients and conditions she encounters, and she likes the fast-paced environment.
"But I most enjoy the constant learning and the lasting relationships formed with patients," said Lindhorst, who is part of the care team at Methodist Physicians Clinic. "I enjoy knowing that I provided excellent service in a caring manner. I'm dedicated to making a positive difference in each patient's life."
She is particularly interested in women's health, and she has oncology experience ñ "It will always be a passion of mine," she said.
Regardless of the reason for a patient's visit, Lindhorst is committed to building a genuine relationship based on trust, respect and open communication.
"I want my patients to know that when they're in my office, they're my top priority," she said. "I'll always strive to communicate with kindness, and I'll do my best to help them find solutions for their concerns."
Outside of work, Lindhorst enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

A month later I feel so much better! I think Martha took the time to listen to me and even pointed out some of my body language I never thought about or explained. Out of anyone I've seen at Methodist Martha really saw me, heard me, and helped me while simultaneously still doing my yearly check-up with nothing missed.

She was wonderful! I've been coming to the office for nearly 25 years and this was one of the best appointments I've had. She listened, communicated wonderfully in the appointment and seemed to generally care. I will be coming back with my kids and husband to see Martha as often as needed.
