Lynn C McLaughlin, PA-C

Lynn McLaughlin, PA-C, developed a passion for medicine at a young age because of her experiences with medical providers who cared for her as a child. Her desire was further shaped by watching her mother’s influence as a teacher.

“Watching my mother educate and connect with students showed me the impact that knowledge and compassion can have on others,” she said. “I realized I wanted to bring these qualities to my career in medicine – not only by providing compassionate, individualized care, but also by educating patients and helping them to better understand and participate in their own health.”

As a physician assistant specializing in dermatology for Methodist Physicians Clinic, McLauglin believes that her role allows her to build meaningful relationships with patients and help them feel confident in their own skin.

She also believes that The Meaning of Care involves treating the whole person.

“It means taking the time to listen and understand patient concerns while building a relationship based on trust and compassion.”

McLaughlin is trained in Botox and Dysport injections and is able to perform Vbeam laser services to treat rosacea and angiomas.

She wants patients to know that she loves her job.

“It’s a privilege to take care of patients and their skin needs each day. I try to treat each patient as though they were my loved one.”

Outside of work, McLaughlin enjoys spending time with family and friends, going for walks and reading books.
