Lauren Dobson, APRN

As a nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine, Lauren Dobson, APRN, FNP-C, loves caring or patients of all ages. "They're why I come to work every day," said Dobson, who sees patients at Methodist Physicians Clinic. "I love getting to develop relationships with whole families and being able to follow patients as they grow and age."

She has special interests in preventive medicine and orthopedics, but she enjoys treating a variety of conditions. She's also passionate about educating each patient about their diagnosis, encouraging them to ask questions and empowering them to be an active part of their treatment plan.

Whatever a patient's challenge, Dobson strives to show them The Meaning of Care.

"To me, The Meaning of Care means treating the patient as a whole – body and mind ñ and not just as their diagnosis. I try to develop solutions that fit my patients' lifestyles, values and beliefs.

Outside of work, Dobson enjoys running, lifting weights, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
