Katie Brodahl, PA-C, is serious about building strong relationships with her patients. A key component to success, she said, is open communication.

“It’s an important building block for our relationship,” said Brodahl, a physician assistant with Methodist Physicians Clinic – Diabetes and Endocrine Specialists. “I like to take the time to assess what the patient knows and areas that are still causing questions, then provide clarification to help them understand.”

She also considers herself a problem solver and an advocate for her patients.

“If the answer isn’t clear, I’ll continue to seek a solution,” she said. “I’m not afraid to ask for help.”

Her ultimate goal: Helping patients have the best quality of life possible.

“It’s always so rewarding to see patients living a fulfilling life with family and friends, and knowing that I played a small part in that,” she said.

Outside of work, Brodahl stays busy by traveling – she’s been to over 15 countries – and hanging out with her cavapoo, Chewy. She also considers herself a foodie and enjoys looking up recipes as a form of relaxation.
