Joel A. Meyer, PA-C

Growing up with two parents in healthcare, Joel Meyer, PA-C, was inspired early on to pursue a career in medicine.

Now a physician assistant caring for patients at Methodist Physicians Clinic - Indian Hills, he’s carrying on his family’s healthcare legacy.

“I enjoy how mentally stimulating it is to work in medicine and make a difference in patient’s lives,” said Meyer, who specializes in family medicine. “What’s most rewarding for me is when a patient is able to improve their health or quality of life as a result of care that I’ve provided.”

With each patient he cares for, Meyer strives to build a relationship rooted in trust and individualized care.

“I want patients to know that the care I provide will be compassionate and tailored to their needs and interests,” he said. “I’ll do everything I can to provide quality healthcare.”

Meyer is proud to be a part of Methodist, he said, because his philosophy aligns with The Meaning of Care.

“To me, that tagline means there’s an emphasis on what care means to the individual and ensuring that care has a meaningful impact for both the individual and the community.”

Outside of work, Meyer enjoys spending time with his family, friends and dog. A Husker fan, he loves watching sports, being outdoors and golfing.
