About Jessica (Jesse) Kirkpatrick

Ever since shadowing a physician in high school, Jessica (Jesse) Kirkpatrick, APRN, knew she wanted to pursue a career in medicine. Now she's living her dream as a nurse practitioner specializing in obstetrics and gynecology at Methodist Physicians Clinic.

"When I was a labor and delivery nurse in Hastings, Methodist was where we sent our high-risk patients," said Kirkpatrick, an Omaha native. "When I think of the best in women's health in Nebraska, I think of Methodist."

Kirkpatrick believes that the best care is a result of a collaborative patient-provider relationship built on trust.

"I strive to listen to each patient's concerns and come up with a treatment plan together," she said.

She especially enjoys how her work allows her to show women of all ages The Meaning of Care.

"I'm passionate about educating and advocating for them, whatever stage of life they're in," she said. "The Meaning of Care means placing the patient above all else while providing the best evidence-based care."

Outside of work, Kirkpatrick can be found spending time with her husband and children. She also enjoys exercising and sports.

      I was very nervous about seeing someone other than my regular physician, Dr. Phillips. As soon as I met the nurse who took me back as well as Jessica Kirkpatrick, I was 100% confident I was in good hands! She was very attentive, personable and kind. I would go back and see her in a heartbeat!
