Jennifer Chavez, PA-C, says her experience as a young patient was a driving force in her decision to pursue a medical career.

“I grew up with a chronic illness that caused me to be hospitalized many times,” she said. “I always wanted to be part of a team that helped others the way those providers took care of me.”

At Methodist Physicians Clinic, she’s found exactly what she was looking for.

“I’m part of a collaborative team that will do everything we can to help you and your family,” said Chavez, a physician assistant who specializes in vascular surgery. “This is a special place because of the compassion, the commitment to care and our expert team of providers. We get to make a difference in someone’s quality of life every day.”

Chavez especially enjoys building relationships with her patients over time.

“The patients are the best part of my job,” she said. “I enjoy the continuity of care, getting to know them and having open and honest conversations that encompass their social, mental and physical needs while being respectful and compassionate.”

Outside of work, Chavez enjoys time with family and outdoor activities. She’s also a Husker football and Creighton basketball fan.
