Jennifer Scranton, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, discovered the joy of caring for others while working as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in high school.

She became a family nurse practitioner so she could care for patients of all ages, but she switched her focus after finding her passion for women's health and obstetrics.

As an OB/GYN nurse practitioner at the Methodist Physicians Clinic Women's Center, Scranton enjoys caring for patients with a variety of health conditions and strives to go above and beyond for her patients and community.

"I'm passionate about providing patients with the education, support and care that they need," she said.

Scranton said some of her favorite moments are when she can help patients and their families through difficult moments.

"Being able to make such a profound difference in someone's life is such an incredible opportunity," she said.

Scranton believes that The Meaning of Care means "holding my patients' hands through each new life event, challenge and moment  good or bad."

Outside of work, Scranton feels blessed to have the opportunity to be a wife and mother. She enjoys staying active and learning new things.
