Growing up, there was never a doubt in Dr. Jeffrey Carson's mind that he would one day be a doctor. As early as his teenage years, he began taking the necessary steps to shape his medical future. He shadowed many different health professionals in his youth, but his favorite moments included those in which he spent observing surgeons in an operating room. Their level of commitment to patients' well-being inspired Dr. Carson to follow his own path to becoming a doctor.
Dr. Carson went on to attend medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He later fulfilled his lifelong goal of becoming a surgeon by completing his residency training at UNMC. Today, he performs surgeries at Methodist Physicians Clinic.
Dr. Carson's fascination and excitement for life-saving surgeries has continuously been a driving force in his life and career. The most rewarding part of his job is being able to witness his patients recover from an operation to a condition better than before they went in. He also loves interacting with patients, believing the most important aspect is communication. His goal is to make patients as comfortable and informed as possible while enabling them to express their concerns, fears and unique situations in order to create a custom plan of care.
