Janice (Lunn) Hughes, APRN

Janice (Lunn) Hughes, APRN, is a nurse practitioner with many years of experience under her belt. Having been a registered nurse for ten years, she worked in different areas of women's health, including pediatrics, infertility, and labor and delivery.

Desiring to expand the level of care she could provide, she returned to school and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Today, Janice is a nurse practitioner dedicated to women's health at Methodist Physicians Clinic.

When it comes to patient care, Janice emphasizes patient-provider partnerships. She recognizes that effective care begins by creating a relationship based on mutual trust. Realizing that patients put a great deal of faith in their providers, Janice believes it is her role is to help patients make good choices regarding their health. She finds the way to achieve this is by taking the time to understand each patient and address any questions and concerns they may have.

When Janice is not caring for women, she enjoys spending quality time with her family by frequently having dinners and going on fishing trips together. Janice is also highly creative, often painting, decorating, and sewing in her alone time.
