Dr. Erik Schulte is an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB/GYN) at Methodist Physicians Clinic Women's Center Council Bluffs. He graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University. He spent one year as an intern at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed his OB/GYN residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Inspired by his father, who is also an OB/GYN, Dr. Schulte liked the thought of taking care of women throughout their lives ì being there for them before they have children, as they're bringing children into the world and long after their children are grown.
He's proud to be a part of a health system that has such a phenomenal reputation across the region.
His definition of The Meaning of Care is "treating each patient the way I would want a family member or a friend to be treated ì not just a number being herded through, but being able to individualize care for each person."
Dr. Schulte and his wife stay busy keeping up with their triplets' extracurricular activities. He enjoys traveling, cooking, exercising and relaxing when he has some downtime.

Dr. Schulte is kind and compassionate. This was my first visit with him and he made it feel like I'd been seeing him all along. He had some jokes during the ultrasound and we had some good laughs all around. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Schulte is the best OBGYN I've ever had!! He listens to my concerns. He includes my consideration and feelings while making a treatment plan that I'm comfortable with. He explains everything very well. Any worry I have walking in is always addressed and put to ease by the time I walk out!
