Elizabeth C. Beemer, PT

As a trained dancer in her youth, Elizabeth Beemer, PT, MPT, Cert. MDT, was no stranger to getting hurt. After a few dance-related injuries, she had to receive treatment from a physical therapist in order to heal properly.

Having an affinity for science and a desire to help people live better lives, Beemer realized physical therapy was the field she should pursue. Intent on becoming a PT, she gained knowledge of the human body and its movements by earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from the University of Michigan. She later earned her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She has been with Methodist for over 20 years.

Beemer loves her job and is dedicated to rehabilitating people. Since no two conditions are the same, her mission is to create individualized treatment plans for her patients. She focuses on each person's goals and how she can help achieve them as well as working to return their functions to the highest level possible.

In her free time, Beemer loves yoga and enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenage sons, attending their swim meets and hockey games. She also volunteers with the marching band at Central High School.
