Carrie A. Severa, APRN

During her OB/GYN rotation as a young, aspiring nurse, Carrie Severa, ARNP, had the opportunity to shadow an Omaha-area midwife. That experience sparked her interest in women’s health and inspired her to pursue a graduate degree.

Severa, an OB/GYN nurse practitioner at Methodist Physician’s Clinic Women’s Center, is especially passionate about pregnancy and postpartum care. She also enjoys educating young women on contraception, STI prevention and other issues affecting adolescents.

“Each patient – from adolescence through menopause – receives my full attention and
adequate time to express their concerns,” she said. “They’re provided with the most up-to-date
treatment options to make the most informed decisions possible.”

Between keeping up with her children’s sporting activities and spoiling her stepgrandchildren, Severa admits that she doesn’t have much free time. But when she’s able to, she enjoys scrapbooking, crafting and reading the latest Colleen Hoover book. She also likes traveling with her husband to their favorite getaway location: Sarasota, Florida.
