Bridget Frazer, PA-C, strives to help patients reach their health goals with a team approach.

"It takes time, skill and effort to build a trusting relationship," said Frazer, a physician assistant who cares for physical medicine and rehabilitation (physiatry) patients and is based out of Methodist Physicians Clinic. "I want patients to know that I'll take the time to listen to their needs and develop a care plan that best addresses those needs. But I also expect them to be active participants, following our directions and investing effort to improve their outcomes."

Frazer has a diverse background in health care, having worked in family medicine, internal medicine and urgent care settings. Her interest in medicine blossomed with two volunteer opportunities in college: helping to care for burn unit patients and assisting at a pediatric occupational and physical therapy clinic.

"That's when I realized that diagnosing and treating patients with injuries or chronic conditions would be a challenging but extremely fulfilling career path," she said.

Just as fulfilling to her has been working with others who believe in showing each patient The Meaning of Care.

"I've worked in different areas at Methodist over the years, and I can tell you that it's my fellow employees who make this a great place to work. Seeing their compassion while caring for patients is uplifting."

Outside of work, Frazer and her husband stay busy by attending their four children's many sporting events, concerts and recitals. In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, painting and volunteering as a youth leader at her church.
