Brianna Thacker, PA-C, is an internal medicine physician assistant at Methodist Physicians Clinic. She enjoys educating her patients in becoming more invested in their health and helping them tackle their unique health challenges.
"I enjoy working with my patients to get to the bottom of what's concerning them," Thacker said.
Her easy-going demeanor puts patients at ease, and she finds great value in establishing personal connections with each of them.
"My favorite moments are when I see lightbulbs go off in my patients' heads," she said. "When they understand their disease processes and why we're treating it the way we are, it's so satisfying. I love the confidence it brings them."
She first considered becoming a primary care provider in seventh grade. Her science teacher suggested she'd do well in medicine.
"I thought, "How cool would that be?!'"
Having previously worked for Methodist as a lab assistant, Thacker saw how much the health system values patients and employees. She knew it was where she wanted to practice after graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Physician Assistant Program.
Thacker enjoys spending her free time with friends and family, especially her husband and dog, Billy. She also enjoys running, reading and working on home improvement projects.

Bri listened to all of my concerns. She offered up a number of options and included me on the decision. She even gave some thoughts on next steps if they were needed. She spent a good amount of time with me and she's so enjoyable to talk to! I felt like she listened and took me seriously- I wasn't told it was just my age or hormones. Good thing, because it wasn't! Her ability to actually listen led to the right tests to find answers quickly!
