Growing up, Dr. Brian Karre was an adventurous youth. He loved to explore his surroundings, and as any young person does, he got into all types of mischief. It frequently landed him in the emergency room. However, Being in the ER did bring about some good: it sparked an interest in health care.
Dr. Karre’s grandmother was a nurse and she frequently cared for him when he was injured. She would recount tales from her time working at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Inspired by her stories, Dr. Karre wanted to have the same experiences as his grandmother, so he decided to pursue the medical field. He completed medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and his residency training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Today, he is an OB-GYN at Methodist Physicians Clinic.
Dr. Karre emphasizes trust in patient relationships. He recognizes patients put a lot of their faith in their health care providers. He strives to build and maintain a high level of mutual trust with each of his patients— trust that his patients are doing everything they can to maintain good health as well as trust that he will provide exceptional care.
In his free time, Dr. Karre enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys the outdoors, frequently traveling and being active.

Dr Karre is my first male gyno and I was surprisingly comfortable with his presence and my ability to openly communicate with him. Even better than communicating with any of my past female physicians of any specialty.

Dr. Karre answered all of my questions without making me feel like I was overthinking. He was very understanding of some family history concerns that I had and informed me he would look into whether such concerns need to be addressed down the line or not.
