Audrina Mullane, PhD, a neuropsychologist at Methodist Physicians Clinic, recalls an early interest in neuroanatomy.

“I’ve always had a fascination with the brain and what makes people who they are,” said Mullane, who distinctly remembers her first psychology class and becoming “mesmerized” by the research it entailed.

As a psychologist with specialized training in geriatrics and dementias, she is committed to building close relationships with her patients to truly understand their challenges and concerns. She also believes education is a critical component of every comprehensive treatment plan.

“I love when my patients feel validated by results and have an understanding of why they may be experiencing cognitive changes,” she said. “It’s incredibly rewarding when they feel like they have a better understanding of themselves and how various treatments can help.”

Outside of her work, Mullane enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and reading.
