Angie Connors, PA-C

Angie Connors, PA-C, MPAS, is a physician assistant with the Methodist bariatric staff at 8111 Dodge St. She received her master's degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She has worked with Dr. Thomas White's surgery team since 1997.

Connors has been an adjunct faculty member at Bellevue University since 2010 and a clinical assistant professor in the University of South Dakota's Physician Assistant Studies program since 2014. She was a flight attendant for seven years before returning to school to become a physician assistant.

Connors is passionate about general and bariatric surgeries.

"With bariatric surgery, you can see over time how you can help make a difference in someone's life," she said. "They feel better, are more active, have fewer comorbidities and generally become healthier."

Throughout her career, treating patients like family has been a priority.

"You want the best for your family, so you have to make sure patients are getting the best care they can," Connors said. "You have to take some time to listen to what they are telling you."

In her free time, Connors enjoys running, biking and boating. She especially loves scuba diving ñ "It's like being in another dimension," she said.
