Amanda G. Impelluso, ARNP

Amanda Impelluso, ARNP, discovered her interest in medicine early in life.

“I was accident-prone as a kid,” she said, “and I wanted to learn how to treat my own injuries.”

That curiosity, she said, grew into a passion for caring for others. Impelluso, a nurse practitioner at the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital Advanced Wound Center, began her career in family medicine. Her path to wound care was driven by personal experience – watching her grandmother struggle with chronic wounds and discover healing through intensive wound therapy.

She enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level and tailoring care to their physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs.

Her connection to Jennie Edmundson is lifelong. Born at the hospital and raised in the Council Bluffs area, she’s proud to care for the community that shaped her. To her, The Meaning of Care means ensuring that every person feels genuinely seen and heard.

“It’s how you approach people in word and deed,” she said. “When someone interacts with me, they will feel deeply cared for and valued as a person.”

Outside of work, Impelluso enjoys exploring global cuisine, crafting, traveling and spending time with her husband and their three children. She loves learning about new cultures, places and people.
