As early as she can remember, Dr. Allison Phillips has always been fascinated by science and health care. Initially, she wanted to care for animals as a veterinarian. However, after an incident with a dog at the age of nine, she instead directed her attention to becoming a physician.
Cheered on by her mother every step of the way, Dr. Phillips completed medical school at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and her residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She now proudly treats pregnant women as an OB-GYN at Methodist Physicians Clinic.
The relationships I've developed with my patients, delivering their babies, and being there for such a special moment of someone's life that's an honor.
Dr. Phillips prides herself on patient relationships. She believes the best foundation to being a good doctor begins with listening to patients. This is important to her because it builds a mutual relationship of trust, and it allows the physician and patient achieve excellent care together.
In her free time, Dr. Phillips enjoys spending time with her husband and twin children. She also enjoys being outdoors, often engaging in activities such as boating, camping, and hiking. She also loves skiing, and incidentally met her husband at a ski resort in Colorado.

Dr. Phillips asked if I had any concerns I wanted to talk about. I mentioned exercise and some knee pain, she gave me some alternative options to build muscle in the perimenopause period of my life.

I was so happy that Dr. Phillips saw us at our first appointment. It helped ease my anxieties a little as a new patient to Methodist. She was so easy to talk to and answered all of my questions without making me feel crazy for asking them.
