Ali Hunter, APRN, is a family nurse practitioner with the Methodist bariatric staff at 8111 Dodge St. Born and raised in Nebraska, Hunter earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing at Nebraska Wesleyan University. She completed her Master of Science in nursing at Creighton University. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Hunter is committed to helping her patients take meaningful steps in their pursuit of weight loss and overall health and wellness. She believes an individualized approach helps make their results achievable and lasting. She is particularly interested in helping patients manage their weight in preparation for bariatric surgery or as a nonsurgical lifestyle change.
"My favorite part of my job is helping patients make lifelong changes to improve their lives," she said. "Following patients before and after surgery and seeing their transformations is truly remarkable."
Outside of work, Hunter enjoys going to the gym with her husband, running, spending time outdoors, listening to podcasts and researching health and wellness topics to benefit herself and her patients.

Ali Hunter was a great listener and answered my questions, she made me feel like she truly could help and cared, not just an in and out office visit.
